Knowing she could make a change, Marisa

launched 'Second Chance Animal Rescue' from

her home in 2008.

 

Since then, it's grown into a network of hundreds of foster carers and volunteers, with just as many cats and dogs in care.

​

In August 2019, 'Second Chance' opened in Craigieburn, Victoria to include a community animal hospital, animal shelter, an education hub and a cat boarding facility.​

 

Marisa's proud to say that thousands of animals

have been rescued from pounds and shelters and

re-settled with adopters in new homes. There are many happy endings - but the fight continues.
